Simple countryside flavors. Inaka Mochi with millets produced in Shikoku
An assortment of rice cakes containing kokibi millet, sorghum, and mugwort that are distinctive of the countryside. It does not contain any synthetic additives, preservatives or coloring and one can taste the genuine deliciousness of the natural ingredients. The store owner carefully selects the ingredients himself and uses nothing but the best quality raw materials. The owner is very particular about the recipe and works with piping hot glutinous rice straight from the steamer while moistening his hands with as little water as possible in order to get a firm texture. Afterwards, he carefully create round balls one by one with hand. It is recommended to add baked rice cakes at the end of Japanese hot pot dinner. Since they are firm, they do not crumble and soak up the deliciousness of dashi soup. Fortunately, there are customers who order every year for their children living in the cities, and the store also get orders from two generations (parents and children). We would like to continue to cherish this connection between people.
